On June 12, 2025, the Regional Centre for Transfusion Hematology (RCTH) – Varna organized a special ceremony to mark World Blood Donor Day. As part of the tradition, awards were presented to the most active donors and organizations that have supported the cause in the Varna region.
Recognized Donors
- Nikola Marinov, 19 years old, was awarded as the youngest of the honored blood donors.
- The "Honorable Blood Donor" award was given to long-time volunteer Georgi Georgiev.
- Elitsa and Mario Koevi received special recognition for family contribution, setting an example of joint dedication.
Awarded Organizations and Media
- Special plaques were awarded to municipal administrations, educational institutions, individuals, companies, and organizations that have actively participated in blood donation campaigns.
- Radio Varna received a special certificate of appreciation for its active engagement and dedication to the cause of saving human lives.
- Journalist Nina Miloshevich was honored with the award "The Voice that Gives Life."
