History

    • Our company was established way back in 1987. In the times when the Elprom plant in Varna, part of the "Perla" Business Association, was a leading manufacturer of electrical household appliances in Bulgaria, with 30 years of tradition. The technological capabilities at that time allowed the production of only water heaters with a galvanized water tank.
    • Since June, the "Capital Construction, Reconstruction and Modernization" department at the "Elprom" Varna plant has been separated into the "Perlainvest" enterprise. The subject of activity of the new structure is the design, construction and major repair of construction sites in the structure of the Economic Association. The director of the company is Tsvetan Velkovski. The departments "Financial-Accounting", "Manpower", "Supply", "Design", "Production-Technical", "Personnel" and a construction team were created. The team numbers only 37 people.

    • The management of the young company makes a decision with a bank loan to purchase an enameling line from the Dutch company "Ferro" and a welding line from the company "Kloos" - Austria. The goal is to start serial production of the country's first water heaters with an enameled water tank. The best specialists, who are among the founders, 
have been recruited from the team of "Elprom", the largest former manufacturer of water heaters in Bulgaria .
    • Plant 1 was built .

    • During 2 years of hard work on installation, synchronization and experiments under the leadership of chief engineer Dimitar Golodov, the first enameled water heater came off the production line. The specialists from "Ferro", invited for the launch of the line, cannot believe that Bulgarian specialists can do all this by themselves.
    • The first Bulgarian enamel water heater manufactured by ELDOMINVEST was presented at the Spring Plovdiv Fair.
    • Since October 1992, a technological base and organization have been created for the country's first serial production of electric household water heaters with a volume of 50, 80 and 120 liters with an enameled water container and anodic protection. First, the most popular 80-liter water heater was developed, lower and with a larger diameter than the traditional one.

    • From the beginning of 1994, the production and sale of two new products began - a semi -automatic washing machine and an electric household centrifuge for laundry.
    • On 22.12.1994, the production of the 100,000th water heater was celebrated.

    • The ownership of the company becomes completely private with the payment of the state's share. Within one month, the state's share was paid 100%.
    • On 19.04.1996, a celebration was held to celebrate the 200,000 produced water heater.
    • Production of the first Bulgarian 10-liter enameled water heater with a plastic casing has started.
    • The first export of water heaters was realized - to Poland and Moldova.

    • Since the beginning of 1998, the company has started implementing a Quality Assurance System. On May 19, 1998, ELDOMINVEST received a certificate according to the international standard ISO9002:1994. ELDOMINVEST is the first Bulgarian enterprise, manufacturer of white goods, to have this certificate.
    • The production of the first instantaneous water heaters and water heaters with a volume of 150 and 200 liters begins.

    • A substantial expansion has been implemented in Plant 2 through the construction of a new workshop. The effective production area increases by nearly 2 acres.

    • ELDOMINVEST's vehicle fleet has been significantly expanded. The company's trucks already deliver products to any part of the country and Europe.

They are certified with the product quality mark of "Inter Testing Services" ETL for compliance of glass-ceramic countertops for installation with the high requirements of the American UL858 and the Canadian CAN/CSA-C22.2 standards. Also in 2008 SEMKO enables the marking of glass-ceramic built-in countertops produced in ELDOMINVEST with the CE mark for compliance with the requirements of the LVD and EMC directives of the EU and the Council of Europe.

    • The first ELDOM wall convectors appear on the market. These are also the first Bulgarian convectors with electronic control. In terms of technical parameters, ELDOM convectors are in no way inferior to the best world analogues.
    • At the international exhibition in Milan in 2012, ELDOMINVEST presented the best Bulgarian heat pump water heaters . The first water heaters of their kind can seamlessly replace conventional electric water heaters, providing more than three times less electricity consumption.

    • As a continuation of the innovation program aimed at the utilization of alternative sources of energy, ELDOMINVEST also offers heat pump systems with a large capacity to the market. They work in both "heating" and "cooling" mode.
    • ELDOMINVEST is undertaking a donation campaign to help our compatriots from the Western outskirts of the Republic of Serbia. With the donation, the office equipment and the library of the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Center in Bosilegrad were renewed.

 • On February 10, the Investment Agency awarded ELDOMINVEST in the "Investment in Innovative Business" category . The prize was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Education and Science Meglena Kuneva .
    • Thanks to the modernization and the construction of new production areas, the annual production capacity of ELDOMINVEST reaches 500,000 products. The company is one of the few European manufacturers of enamel water heaters with a volume of 2000 liters.
    • ELDOMINVEST becomes the fourth holder of Green Energy Certificate in Bulgaria. The document guarantees that 100% of the electricity supplied to the company is produced from renewable sources.

    • As an innovative and high-tech company, ELDOMINVEST launched the application of the "Internet of things" concept in ELDOM products. After two years of tests in a laboratory environment, the first ELDOM appliances, which can be controlled entirely via the Internet, have been put into series production. These are wall convectors, electric water heaters and combined water heaters with one and two heat exchangers. The free myELDOM app is adapted to work seamlessly with all operating systems and mobile devices.

    • The COVID-19 pandemic is leading to a sharp rise in demand for electrical appliances, including electric water heaters and appliances with WI-FI control. The company responded adequately to the increased demand and achieved record sales.
    • In line with the trends for using alternative energy sources, ELDOMINVEST introduces to the market new models of combined water heaters, specially designed for heat pump and solar systems. The water heaters have concentric coils of a large area, with collector connections for the inlet and outlet.
    • A pleasant surprise for the heating season is the new series of stylish and innovative ELDOM Galant convectors . With a variety of models with internet control, for wall and floor mounting.

    • During the anniversary year for ELDOMINVEST 2022, in which the company celebrated its 35th anniversary, the implementation of an ambitious investment program worth BGN 8.2 million was completed. It includes the implementation of robotic and highly automated lines in all three factories in Varna, which increased the production capacity of energy-saving appliances and water heaters and buffer vessels using renewable energy sources.
    • As a responsible company, on the occasion of its 35th anniversary, ELDOMINVEST organizes a national eco-initiative "You buy an ELDOM device - together we plant a tree!" . As a result of the afforestation actions, 28,100 saplings were planted in different regions of the country on a total area of 59 decares. With the joint efforts of volunteers, partners and employees of ELDOMINVEST, there are now eight new ELDOM forests on the map of Bulgaria.

 • As an innovative manufacturer, ELDOMINVEST introduces the first Bulgarian hybrid water heater into serial production. It allows users the freedom to use both free solar power and conventional grid power as needed.

    • With the support of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area, a project has been finalized to improve energy-saving measures and save energy in production processes. The project includes the installation of an energy-efficient furnace for firing an enamel coating and a heat exchanger for the additional use of residual heat energy. As a result, energy consumption in production processes and generated carbon emissions are reduced.

    • In order to provide reliable warranty and post-warranty service, ELDOMINVEST maintains a network of 98 service centers in the country. Today, the company exports its products to more than 30 countries on 4 continents.
